And on the keys...

Do I look like a data entry clerk? No? Huh...My job irritates lately. All I've been given to do is busy work. They haven't assigned anything that actually takes thought. I can think. I am smart, responsible and better then this. I'm starting to get pissed and considering looking around, but just casually...
I was supposed to be up for a possible promotion at the end of this month. They had me training for it and everything but all of a sudden they started training this other girl. She has worked her longer but already has a higher position then the what the promotion is. I'm very confused by all this. I asked my boss and he said they are just "cross training" her. But then why the fuck did they quit training me I don't know. I'm ticked. I know I didn't do anything wrong. I was doing the work perfectly and things were going smoothly. I just don't understand...I think I may have already mentioned that though.

Oh Lordy...

I've been a busy little one. Okay so maybe I'm not little but I've been busy, okay?

I had a small incident, a run-in if you will, with my roommate. She, my friends, is C-R-A-Z-Y! But that is nither here, nor there. And the issue between us has been resolved.

I have decided to take a drastic measure with my finances. I don't really wish to discuss it here, but I brought it up to explain how relieved I am. I feel as though I know I have a rough road ahead of me but it will be a worth while one and a less stressful one. Fhew!

My posts suck! I don't know why. I always think "I need to make sure I blog this event." But then when I sit here all events escape my brain! And I seriously mean all of them. Maybe I need to start writing shit down...

Stupid is...

Grrr the courier at work makes me SOOOOO mad. She is an irate hippy who needs to chill. She told everyone here that I didn't call her on a pick up when there was no pick up to call her on. She was supposed to deliver a check and pick up the item we were paying for. The instructions to this simple task were written on the envelope of the check. Was I supposed to read for her? Did she not learn the elementary task of reading years ago? When I got back from lunch everyone was mad at me and I immidately had to defend myself. *$#@*&%# I'm so mad...

Thank you Krister... ;-)

Read This .

"Do yourself a favor. If you ever get the chance to go to Burning Man just stay home, sit in direct sunlight for a few hours while listening to The Grateful Dead, have a friend throw dirt on you and then flog you. Cap off the night by burning a twig and dancing around it to techno and you will have experienced all that Burning Man has to offer."

Godmother...

Fairy Godmother that is. I got the part of the Fairy Godmother in the Saturday cast of the Reno Tahoe Players production of Rodgers and Hamerstine's Cinderella! Yay Hooray! :-)

Its getting cold in here...

The AC at work is up to "freeze their asses off." It always is. I think I'm just extra sensitive about it because I woke up with a migrane this morning. I didn't go in to work until 11am today. My body was telling me to sleep more. I get migraines when I don't sleep enough, don't eat frequently enough(to keep my blood sugar level normal), or if there is an imbalance in my hormones. Those are my triggers. It only took me 8 years to figure them out, but now I've got them down and I've greatly reduced the amount of migraines I get.

On to my interesting life...
I've been noticing that grocery stores play the songs that were cool when I was in Middle School. For instance yesterday I caught myself singing with a Backstreet Boy song. An old Backstreet Boy song. Strange that I knew all the words and I hate the Backstreet Boys.

Okay so maybe today's post isn't so interesting. Maybe the posts will get better when I feel better. Here is hoping or I'm never going to get any traffic on my blog. Speaking of traffic...Does anyone want to help me get some?

Sadness

I've been reading another womans blog. One that makes me cry. Crying is not good at my job, being that I have to answer phones. I love her blog but I think I may have to make it a at home only blog. Here is her blog. Her name is Janis.

I also love this this blog. Her name is Dooce. I love her. She is funny and nice.

Edited: The link for Janis no workie. Here is the exact copy of the link. Maybe this workie.

Life is an illness...

I have felt some sort of illness for the past two weeks. I feel green. I felt nauseated all afternoon yesterday. Every smell made me want to rush to the restroom. The ribs, the neighbors Indian food, the other neighbors marijuana...All made me feel sick. Gross in fact.

I feel quite a bit better today. I'm hoping that I will still feel okay after lunch with my sister.

I missed the "What Not To Wear" marathon yesterday. I'm a little sad about that. I didn't see one single episode... :-( But I did have a great "date" with my nephew Trevor. We went to the Olive Garden, and to the Disney store, and the swimming in my pool. Trevor was so cute. At the Olive Garden he stopped the waitress to tell her, "Me and my Auntie Val are on a date. Not a small date, but a BIG date." He also later said "The girl(the waitress) doesn't know that my name is T-R-E-V-O-R." Then when we were at my apartment he saw that I had Pringles and asked if we could bring them to the pool and I said yes. He brought them and ate them on the walk back to my apartment and then he walked all around my house munching on them. I told him he could take them home with him (there was only about 1/4 of the can left). But he said he would leave them at my house "Because I don't want you to get sad and miss them." What a sweet considerate boy. But I'm pretty sure the last thing I need is another can of Pringles...

Did you know I'm a rock star?

First posts are always ackward...but I will try my best.

I am an avid blog reader. I find other peoples lives so intrguing. I hope I can do the same for someone else...

With that said...

Today on my lunch break I went to Quiznos Subs. When I walked in the fist thing I noticed was there was a Spice Girls song playing. Isn't it 2004? Since when were the Spice girls cool enough to be played like 8 years after there song was popular? There was also a very tall woman there. I'm 5'2" and I'm was wearing 3 inch heels (to assure myself I am chubby but still fablous). The woman had to be towering at least a foot above me and she was wearing flats. To further the intresting experience, the very attractive boy behind the counter couldn't depart his eyes from my chest long enough to understand that I wanted wheat bread instead of white. He started to make the sandwich and I promptly corrected his bread choice. He looked embarresed but fixed his mistake and made me a yummy sandwich.
